I am a qualified and registered Arts Therapist and NDIS provider, who is concerned for the welfare of vulnerable clients in light of devastating proposed changes to the way Arts Therapy is funded by the NDIS.
Recent confusing and contradictory changes to funding were announced publicly without any consultation with Arts Therapists, our professional association or our clients.
These changes not only undermine the principles of choice and control central to the NDIS but also have the potential to jeopardise the wellbeing of participants who rely on these therapies, and the livelihoods of dedicated professionals like me.
