Huntlee Academy Here at Huntlee Academy we aim to provide employment opportunities and training to those who need assistance in the local areas.

Huntlee Academy is a not for profit organisation employing and training disadvantaged people from the local Hunter Valley area to equip them with the skills and experience to gain long-term careers. We are also a bulk collection point for the Return & Earn scheme.

Through hands-on experience and being part of the team, Malachi continues to learn, grow and embrace new opportunities along the way.

We are glad to be working alongside A.B.C. Turf, who supply quality turf for landscaping projects across the Hunter.

Turf is one of those jobs where the standard shows immediately. The site prep, the levels, the joins, the care in the first few weeks. It is exactly the kind of work that teaches our teams to do things properly the first time.

Every training place and every employment pathway we create is funded by the work our teams deliver: fencing, landscaping, mowing, maintenance and land care across the Hunter Valley.

Being proudly independent means:
• Our capacity to train and employ grows with the work we win
• 30% of all our profits are reinvested into training
• Every project completed creates more opportunity for someone local

It also means the community plays a direct role in the outcomes we create. When you choose Huntlee Academy for a property or maintenance job, you are funding real skills, confidence and employment for people in your own region.

Learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. The strongest skills are built when knowledge is put into practice. 🌱

Cougar Matthews is continuing his Certificate III in Horticulture through TAFE at the Kurri Kurri Campus, attending classes each Monday and Tuesday as he works towards his qualification.

Alongside his studies, Cougar is gaining valuable hands-on experience through Huntlee Academy, applying what he learns in real working environments across our Business Units.

From developing his understanding of horticulture practices to building confidence on the job, this combination of training and practical experience is helping him prepare for future opportunities in the industry.

A proper welcome to Jayden, one of the newer faces around Huntlee Academy. 🎉

Jayden joined us earlier this year and has been getting stuck in ever since, taking on new experiences, learning the ropes and building skills through work.

That is what these pathways are all about. Real jobs, real skills, and the chance to build something for yourself while you do it.

We are also wishing him a very happy birthday. To mark the occasion, Jayden takes home a meat pack from Hungerford Meat Co.
