Throwback Thursday

This week we're again going back to the 1940s!

Here we have another promotional photo taken at Mascot (Sydney) Airport with a number of Air League cadets inspecting a DH-82a Tiger Moth.

In the background is a Consolidated Vultee LB-32 Liberator G-AGTI which used operated by British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), London, for Indian Ocean passenger services operated by Qantas Empire Airways (QEA) from late 1945.

When Greg Batts was given what was left of a CAC Boomerang A46-54 fighter plane 40 years ago, it had not flown since 1945.

Throwback Thursday

Here are some of the cadets who attended the Australian Air League's Air Activities January Camp 2003 - I refuse to believe that was 23 years ago!

The flying camp has long been a major fixture on the calendar - although today there are now three camps held annually in school holiday!

A few familiar faces in these photos!
