🌼🎶 NWSCC Social Day! 🎶🌼

We had a wonderful time at our club social, with Pete providing fantastic entertainment that had everyone singing along, dancing and even showing off their best line-dancing steps! 💃🕺🎤 There was plenty of laughter, music and fun throughout the day. Check out our President’s dance moves!!

We also celebrated Daffodil Day, coming together to raise money for cancer awareness and support a very worthy cause. 💛🌼

A special highlight was the auction of a beautiful hand-crocheted rug, generously donated for our fundraiser and bought by Bev. 🧶💐

A huge thank you to Pete for getting everyone up and dancing, and to all our wonderful members for joining in, supporting the cause and making it such a memorable day! ❤️

What a wonderful day out to Hastings and Rosebud RSL! 🌞🚌

We were blessed with perfect weather, beautiful scenery and plenty of good company. Our day included a relaxing morning tea at the Hastings Pelikan Société cafe, a lovely lunch at Rosebud RSL, a drive up to Arthur’s Seat, lots of laughter and, of course, plenty of conversation along the way! ☕🍰😊

It was another fantastic day of friendship, fellowship and making wonderful memories together. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so enjoyable. ❤️

Our weekly Social Day Wednesday is a wonderful opportunity for members to come together, enjoy some valuable information and, of course, have plenty of fun!

The day began with an informative session on Wills and Powers of Attorney, given by Fiona and Janine from the south east Monash legal centre, providing our members with useful information and encouraging everyone to make sure their important affairs are in order and their wishes are clearly documented.

Following the information session, we relaxed and enjoyed some great entertainment, with our entertainer, Joey, bringing plenty of music, laughter and energy to the afternoon. Members joined in, sang along, danced and thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Our talented members even joined Joey on stage. Thank you Dale, Donald, Shirley and Peter!

It was another lovely day of friendship, learning and entertainment — just what our Friendly Club is all about!

NWSCC AGM

As we conclude another successful year, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our outgoing Committee of Management for their time, dedication and service to our club. Their efforts have helped make our club a welcoming and enjoyable place for all.

We also warmly welcome our newly elected Committee and wish them every success as they work together to lead our club into another exciting year. We look forward to supporting them as they continue to build on the strong foundation of friendship, respect and community that makes our club so special.
Special thanks to our Presiding Officer, Dale, A for conducting this year’s Annual General Meeting with great enthusiasm.

🎄 Our First-Ever CHRISTMAS IN JULY Was a Festive Blast!

🎅What a spectacular Sunday social! We celebrated our very first Christmas in July, and the energy in the room was absolutely magical.

✨Here is a wrap-up of our festive fun:

Festive Feast: Members enjoyed a delicious catered Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. 🍗
Holiday Harmonies: We sang our hearts out during our festive Christmas singalong. 🎶
Star Performers: The open microphone was a massive hit, with members stepping up to sing their absolute favourite tunes. 🎤Mystery Prizes: Everyone loved the excitement of the lucky dips, adding an extra layer of holiday surprise! 🛍️
Lucky Winners: Big congratulations to everyone who took home our awesome door prizes! 🎁
Sweet Speculation: Well done to the sharp-eyed winner of the "guess the chocolates in the jar" competition. 🍫
Dancing Queens & Kings: The activities had all of us dancing, laughing, and mingling. 💃

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this brand-new tradition so memorable. Your holiday spirit made the day truly special! ❤️

It’s a very special feeling to see our members enjoying the NWSCC Wednesday social …with their huge smiles, loud singing voices and lots of dancing to old time favourite, Col Perkins.

We welcomed 14 new members in the past week…so amazing to see them getting involved and joining in the fun!!

We are very grateful to Mindy, our Casey Link worker, who comes into the club regularly to provide assistance and support with council services. Thank you Mindy!!

What a wonderful day of friendship, culture and celebration at NWSCC’s Multicultural Day! 🌏❤️

Our members proudly dressed in their beautiful national costumes, showcasing the rich diversity that makes our club so special. It was wonderful to see everyone sharing traditional foods with friends at their tables and share stories together. We proudly welcomed Belinda Wilson MP at our gathering today and she felt right at home amongst us!!

The colourful parade was a highlight of the day, along with the fantastic entertainment by Bernadette Dique who had everyone dancing and joining in the fun.
A heartfelt thank you to all members who came dressed in traditional attire and helped make this such a memorable and successful event. Days like these remind us that while we come from many different backgrounds, we are united by friendship, respect and community.

What a truly special day celebrating the many cultures (over 20) that enrich our club! 🎉🌍💃🕺
