🌼 Another Wonderful Wednesday Social at Narre Warren Seniors Club! 🌼

Our members enjoyed another lovely day of friendship, fun and fellowship! 💙💛

We welcomed our Link Worker, Mindy, who gave us an informative talk about aged care services available through Casey, helping our members better understand the support and assistance available to them.

🎂 A very special highlight was celebrating the 90th birthday of one of our long-standing members, Shirley. We marked this wonderful milestone with a birthday cake and presentation, sharing in the joy of celebrating a life filled with memories and special friendships. 🥳💐

🎶 We rounded off the day with our wonderful female entertainer, who kept everyone smiling, dancing and enjoying the music!

At Narre Warren Seniors Club, it’s not just about activities — it’s about friendship, belonging and making wonderful memories together! ❤️

🏉🎶 FOOTY FEVER HIT THE CLUB! 🎶🏉

After watching the Grand Final live on Saturday, the footy spirit continued at our Wednesday Social! ❤️💙💛💚

Members came dressed in their favourite team colours, proudly sang their team songs, and enjoyed plenty of footy fun.

Congratulations to our Footy Finals Tipping winners, and a huge thank you to our wonderful footy organisers Bill and Peter for putting it all together.

Our entertainer Bernadette Dique had everyone singing, dancing and laughing — there was certainly plenty of fun and happy faces around the room! 💃🎤😊

A special shout-out to our members who were unwell and unable to join us. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe. We’re thinking of you, wishing you a speedy recovery, and look forward to welcoming you back to The Friendly Club very soon. 🌷

Our Wednesday club day started with a Dementia Awareness presentation by Heena who gave us the sobering but informative facts on the types of dementia, its effects on families and the support available in the local community. Thank you Heena, not just for the opportunity to increase our awareness of the many aspects of this disease…but also for giving us the time to share personal experiences, ask relevant questions and providing us with a yummy morning tea which was enjoyed by all.
A long time favourite, Col Perkins, entertained our members with his variety of songs to sing along and dance to. Another energetic and wonderful Wednesday at NWSCC.
We were also thrilled to welcome our visitors and new members to our club.

Next week…come dressed in your footy team colours for our Footy Day parade!! 🏟️😸🏈🐯🏉🏟️🐶

Happy 42nd Birthday, Narre Warren Seniors!
💙💛 The Friendly Club 💛💙

What an amazing afternoon of celebration, friendship and memories as we celebrated the 42nd Birthday of our wonderful club!!

With 90+ members attending, it was certainly a birthday to remember!
To start the day’s program, our talented Line Dancers entertained us with a fantastic performance. We also sadly farewelled our talented line dancing teacher and long term club member, Elisa, who has chosen to start a new chapter in her life.

A wonderful part of the afternoon was hearing our club history read aloud, reminding us of the people and milestones that have shaped our club over the past 42 years. We were delighted to honour the Life Members present today, past Presidents and other executive and committee members whose dedicated service and commitment kept our club going during those difficult COVID times….and acknowledged their valuable contribution and friendship over the years.
It was an honour to welcome our special visitors - Belinda Wilson, State MP, pCr Kim Ross (Casuarina Ward) and our new Mayor for Casey, Cr Michelle Crowther who mingled amongst our members, and joined in the formalities. This was followed by the traditional cutting of our birthday cake by longest serving club member, Ann, surrounded by our life members…. a perfect way to celebrate 42 wonderful years! 🎂💃

We enjoyed a delicious catered lunch, (Steve’s Catering) the ever-popular Spinning Wheel raffle with Brenda and Bill and much excitement from the lucky prize winners.

We were also thrilled to have our special celebrations captured by the Berwick Star newspaper, giving us another wonderful memory to treasure. Make sure you look out for our photos !! 📸📰

A HuGe tHaNk YoU to our committee who set up our clubrooms yesterday and, together with our regular volunteers, made sure all who attended were well looked after today. It is the wonderful spirit of ALL our members that made the afternoon such a success.

Here’s to 42 years of friendship, fun, laughter and community – and to many more wonderful years ahead! 🥂🎉

Another fun day of chat, coffee and conversation at the NWSCC social Wednesday. The place was buzzing and as our numbers grow, please come early enough to secure a good parking spot.
We were pleased to have the popular and famous jazz singer Don Saigal, who kept us entertained with his jazz renditions of so many popular ballads. Special thanks to you, Don, for including our dancing tunes and singing our members special requests which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Reminder: NWSCC will be celebrating its 42nd Birthday next week. The special celebrations will be only for members and guests who have already booked in. No walk ins please!! 🎈🍰🧁🎂🎈

Visitors are welcome to join us on the following Wednesday, 23rd September.

A packed out clubroom today as we gathered to celebrate an early Father’s Day and honour the NWSCC fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers!!

Apart from the usual fellowship and chatting, which was hard to curb during our members meeting, our raffle prizes were many and suited the winners perfectly in time for Father’s Day!!
Thank you Judith for organising the raffle prizes and the lucky dips which were presented to all the men in the room today!

Belated birthday wishes for our Vice President, Yolande, as she cut her birthday cake with some of the committee and volunteers!!

Come along next week to check out our Wednesday club social!!
