Another Hard Butt done and dusted! Only seven ladies again this year.
Rain, well drizzle, gravel road sections, traffic lights at roadworks, train crossings.
Start time 5:38am, in light rain from Midvale onto the Tonkin Hwy to Bindoon for a quick stop to adjust wet weather gear.
From Bindoon to Moora, Three Springs, then over to Perenjori. The ride split into 2 groups at Perenjori, to make it easier at the unmanned petrol stops.
Perenjori to Dalwallinu for morning tea stop, back on the road to Kalannie, onto Cadoux for lunch. From Cadoux to Koorda, then Nungarin, the 2nd year in a row the road to Nungarin was closed so a long deviation via Kununoppin. From Nungarin to Merredin for an afternoon stop. Merredin to Kelleberin, Meckering, to the Lakes for a re-group, all riders riders together down to Mundaring to end the ride at Dome.
As usual, so many different odometer readings for the same distance! 1,045km (because of road closure), and 1,017km and 1,005kms non closed road distance.
