Yesterday, over 700 of you showed your support for SHM’s community respondent - Sam Wood, and the community speakers at the first day of the hearing which was onsite in Moss Vale.

Today, Sam Wood is representing the community in the LEC in Sydney.

In court today - the commissioner commented on the good behaviour of the community yesterday, something we can be very proud of.

A special thank you to our Katie Locke who worked tirelessly to set up the day, with chairs, speaker system, coffee and tea, crowd control, and transporting elderly residents to and from. Thank you!

Tomorrow, Monday 19 October, the NSW Land and Environment Court hearing begins on-site at the proposed RePoly plastics processing facility in Moss Vale.

PLASTIC DOESN’T JUST DISAPPEAR

Plastic processing can mean microplastics, emissions, wastewater and fire risk.

Now imagine that operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Southern Highlands. Including an additional 120 (or more) trucks a day!

Who would locate that in one of Australia’s most loved tourist destinations?
