🐒 THE MONKEY WHO GOT A SECOND CHANCE

After a terrible accident left him torn, worn, and in need of love, this brave little monkey began his repair journey at the Repair Café.

Over a number of weeks, our volunteers carefully stitched and glued him back together, refilled his stuffing, restored his smile, and gave him the chance to feel whole again.

Once fixed, he set off to explore the world — or at least the shopping centre!
He visited the fruit stand, rode in a trolley, posed for photos and enjoyed his brand‑new lease on life.

Repair Café is on this Saturday! 🔧🧵

Got a favourite item that’s not quite working the way it should? Before you replace it, bring it along to Lakelands Repair Café this Saturday and let our volunteers see if it can be given a second chance.

From clocks and jewellery to toys, sewing repairs and small household items, we love helping well-used and well-loved things keep going a little longer.

Please note: we don’t do clothing alterations and we can’t work on 240V electrical faults (mechanical issues only), but you’re welcome to bring items along and we can advise if they may be repairable. 🔧

We are here today at Lakelands shopping centre till 1pm this afternoon.
Bring your broken, damaged, torn items etc. and we will do it best to repair it for you. 🙂

No 240 volt repairs.
