🚒 SUPPORTING THE TEELAH BUSHFIRE 🚒

It has been a busy week for the members of the Malar Booie Rural Fire Brigade as we wrapped up multiple days of deployment supporting our neighbours.

Since Tuesday, our dedicated volunteers have been working hard both on the ground and behind the scenes to help manage the bushfire at Teelah, near Blackbutt.

Here is what our team has been up to:
On the Ground: Our field crews stepped up for multiple active firefighting shifts, working directly on the fire line under smoky and challenging conditions to protect property and contain the blaze.

In the Incident Control Centre (ICC): Behind every ground crew is a massive logistics operation. Malar Booie members have been deployed to the ICC every single day since Tuesday, filling vital support roles to keep communications clear, crews safe, and operations running smoothly.

A massive thank you to all of our volunteers who dropped everything this week to answer the call, and to the families and employers supporting them from home! We also want to thank all the surrounding brigades and emergency services we worked alongside.

Stay safe everyone!
