We seek to provide that Silver Lining to pets who can no longer remain in their current home or are on the kill list in a pound or help shelters that are full. Although we are based in Queensland, we save throughout Australia. Our rescue is based on the belief that finding an animal’s Silver Lining is of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. All our animals are vet checked an have all vet work completed before they can be adopted to their new homes. Many have behaviour issues from aggression to scared and emaciated, we rehabilitate them before being rehomed. As a result, many pets are now in their Silver Lining. We would welcome the opportunity to either provide a pet for you or to re-home one for you. If you need a pet rehomed please email us...

A very big thanks to Virginia for their kind donation of cat and dog food. This will be distributed amongst our carers. These donations help immensely as we cannot afford to purchase food for our carers. It eases the burden for our carers Thank you!!!

What’s better than one stunning, sweet cat? 🐱

Two!

Meet Damian and Cosmas, our flame-point Siamese brothers. They haven’t had many reasons to trust humans in the past, but they come forward a little more every day.

Is that why these two stunners are still with us after 4 years?

Not, not really. They’ve had cat flu, so the home needs a little thought: cats who’ve had it too, or just these two. Unfortunately people tend to hear that and be put off, despite the fact it's perfectly manageable.

A sniffle when they're stressed shouldn't cost them a loving home for life.

So we're putting them out there again. Maybe you're the ideal home for one of them, or even both?

🐱 Kittens: climb the curtains at 3am.

🐈 Dusk: asleep by 9.

🐱 Kittens: slight destruction of the house.

🐈 Dusk: hides in a cosy blanket and politely waits for dinner.

Both are adorable. Both are loving and funny. Only one lets you sleep. Need we say more?

Kittens? We love them. But senior cats? Entirely underrated.

Bowie hasn’t had the best start to life. This gorgeous grey and white boy was handed in to a rural vet sick and all by himself he was then passed onto a foster carer, where he was given the TLC he so desperately needed.

Despite his unfortunate start, Bowie has never lost his sweet nature. From the beginning, he has been nothing but sweet and affectionate, showing just how much love this little boy has to give.

Now it’s time for Bowie’s next chapter! He deserves a family who will shower him with love, spoil him rotten and make sure his days of struggling are well and truly behind him.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous little companion to fill your home with love, Bowie could be your boy!

Bowie is looking for his very own forever home. Could that be with you?

If you would like to meet me please email the rescue at [email protected] or pm the Silver Lining Pet Rescue Inc page.

(Please note: all our cats kittens are adopted as inside only)

Qetsi is having a rainy day 😿

Her foster home is warm, safe and full of love. It's everything she could ask for. She's very grateful.

But when it's grey and miserable out, you want your own couch. Your own blanket. Your own person.

A home that is hers.

She's not sad about the rain. She's sad because there's no place like home, and she's still looking for hers.

Maybe it’s with you?
