The South Burnett Pantry (represented by Krissy Jenkins) attended last nights Community Information meeting at Wondai Hall held by Peries IGA.
It was great hearing all about the plans for the new IGA Wondai, from Sharon and Colin from Peries, but also hearing from Cr Ros Heit, on how SBRC are helping to smooth out access issues.
The new store is not only going to bigger and better than before and have a great range to choose from but they are planning on using old photos of Wondai across the front to lean in to Wondaiโs rich history. All of the attendees of the meeting were also invited to help have a say of exactly which ones. It should be very special.
It sounds like Wondai are in for a lovely shopping experience giving everyone reasons to shop close to home. Krissy is very pleased and excited as the Wondai store is her local.
Peries IGA are wonderful supporters of The Pantry and we couldnโt do what we do in giving people access to affordable food and food relief if we didnโt have their help with their food rescue donations from both Kingaroy and Wondai and all the other ways they contribute to ensuring our community are looked after.
All of the team at Peries IGA always go the extra mile for their shoppers, for The Pantry and for the South Burnett. Itโs really wonderful to work with a business who really cares.
We are looking forward to the Grand Opening of the Peries Wondai IGA store on Saturday 18th July 2026 and wish them much success.
