Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after a woman was found deceased at the intersection of Leakes and Derrimut roads in Tarneit this morning.

A passerby discovered the woman just before 6am. Investigators believe she was struck by a vehicle, which left the scene.

Detectives are urging anyone who was travelling in the area around the time, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

The popularity of e-scooters and e-bikes is growing. So are the injuries.

Young people from Wyndham recorded some of Victoria's highest number of hospital-treated e-scooter and e-bike injuries, with 69 presentations to emergency departments.

These injuries can happen in seconds, but their impact can last much longer.

Before they ride, talk to your children about:

⛑️ Wearing a helmet every ride
👥 Never carrying passengers
📱 Keeping their focus on the road.

Seven warrants have been issued for the 30-year-olds arrest. He is known to frequent the Werribee and Altona North area.

Police are hunting for two thieves who stole boxes of specially formulated food essential to keeping a severely disabled girl alive.

CCTV footage captured two women swooping on a Tarneit home minutes after the delivery from the Royal Children's Hospital.

The girl's worried mother and father are pleading for the life-sustaining products to be returned.
