The OBJECTS of the association are —
a) ­To encourage and foster the development, appreciation and recognition of all Visual and Performing Arts, hereunder called 'the respective arts'. Arts shall mean and include Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Pottery, Carving, Glass, Music (Instrument and Voice), Literature, Poetry, Performance and any other form of Visual Art which is original, creative and

entertaining. b) To promote public awareness, knowledge and appreciation of the respective arts. c) To provide opportunity for adults and young people to participate in the practice, tuition, study, presentation and access of the respective Arts regardless of race, religion or health status. d) To co-operate and co-ordinate with groups, bodies, agencies and individuals with interests similar to the Objects of the Association. e) To provide or to obtain venues, facilities and resources for the activities, related to the Objects of the Association and where possible in co-operation with other cultural organisations. f) To do all things, and to take all actions expedient, incidental and conducive to the achievement of the above objects.

BLOCK ONE (7 SESSIONS)

We are hosting a series of intergenerational art workshops focusing on bringing people of all ages together through connect, creativity and community.

Workshops include but not limited too

Clay sculptures
Wheel throwing
Cooking
Glazing and oxiding

Hands on workshops creating beautiful art pieces and connections.

Workshops are for all ages. We encourage a wide age range kids, parents, grand parents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends.

Block one cost

$140 1 adult +1 child

$105 1 adult only

Full 7 sessions included, all materials, firing, tools, morning tea provided

Because this is an intergenerational connection workshop No unoccupied children will be permitted.

LWCASA is proud to announce our latest grant from Logan City Council Community Development Funding for the BRIDGING GENERATIONS THROUGH CELEBRATION Arts & Culture Program.
We are running workshops from June 27 up till November 14 on days where we can celebrate certain International Days of ..........
Workshops are open to all ages from 5 to seniors, but children can only participate if an adult is also registered to attend. We encourage Parents and Grandparents to book in for a morning of collaboration with their child or grandchild creating and sharing memories together.
Bookings can be made and paid directly with LWCASA and a Humanitix Link will soon be created to book through as well.
It is preferred bookings are made as Series 1 of 7 workshops $105 Adult and $35 Child, Series 2 of 6 Workshops $90 Adult $30 Child.
Payments must be made at time of booking as places will go very fast with the costing so low to average $15 Adults $5 Child with all tools, materials, firings and morning teas supplied.
It will be a fun time for all with lots of laughs and learning as we create items to match the different celebration themes.
These sessions will all be 10.00 am start and finish by 12.00. If extra time is required participants will be required to pay extra tutoring time at $20 per hour, and we are unable to run catch up classes at the low price if you miss a workshop.
We are grateful to Logan City Council for funding and supporting this project to foster inclusion, reduce isolation and strengthen Logan's multicultural bonds

You cannot book through us as all bookings can now only be lodged on line through Logan City Council.
Just Repeating instructions for you to set up accounts to book. All details are required and please observe the age restrictions for glass, wheel and hebel. Plus no under 5's as the sessions are too long for them and we cannot do one on one tutoring.
All bookings must be ONLINE
To prepare for the mad rush next Monday when Bookings open at 9.00am, you can set up yourself and family prior to booking and then you will ready to go once bookings open.
