Art of the Revolutionary Years

Art of the Revolutionary Years covers the times before and after the French Revolution.  This period witnessed the art of a leisured and decadent aristocracy being swept away by that of Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars.  It also witnessed the rise of Satirical Art, with British artists such Hogarth lampooning, rather than guillotining, the upper classes.
