This week is National Volunteer Week for 2026.

We thought we would highlight some of our great volunteers this week.

Louise is a 24 year veteran with the CFS. She is a quiet achiever who likes to laugh a bit at training, however she gets pretty serious when the chips are down.

In the last couple of years, Lousie has been on multiple deployments for thw Wilmington and Deep Creek Fires.

She used her years of experience to great effect both times, as an Air Operations Assistant, Driver, Computer Operator and Communications guru.

Below, Louise is operating our radios at Gumeracha Group Base.

Louise is also often quietly behind the scenes updating this page, which really helps the brigade and our community.
