🚲 The YAEP had a great day out at the Campbelltown Bicycle Education Centre! 🚲

Our young adults got involved in bike and road safety clips, scenarios and then put it all into practice, both as pedestrians and bike riders.

Everyone got up, had a go and got involved. Some were doing things they hadn’t been able to do before, and it was so good to see the confidence, excitement and smiles throughout the day. 🙌

We made sure everyone could participate too, bringing our hoist along so our participants who require transfers could join in safely. And Mr Orlando absolutely LOVED his time on the trike! 🤩

A huge thank you to the team at the Bicycle Education Centre (Campbelltown City Council, NSW) for being so friendly, patient and engaging with our young adults. We really appreciate you making the day such a great experience.

Most importantly, our young adults were out there having fun, trying new things, building confidence and working towards their NDIS goals.

We love seeing our YAEP crew getting out there and showing us what they can do! 🧡🩵💜

Hi everyone, Giuliana here...
For years I've had a vision, an idea. A vision to give greater opportunity for our young adults to access the community. We are often challenged by the lack of accessible changing facilities available to us. So I wanted to create a mobile version. One that helps our amazing team of carers to support our awesome young adults to get out and about and experience life.
Who would have thought that an everyday normal part of life, like attending to personal care would be so hard? Well it is and we want to change that.

We have set up our first Go Fund Me page and are about to host our first fundraiser event - stay tuned for more information 😉

Any donation or share is greatly appreciated. No effort is too small!

✨ Blue Illusion x Genovation ✨

On Friday 24th of July, we had the privilege of being part of the Blue Illusion x Genovation Fashion Fundraiser, and what an experience it was!

A huge shoutout to our very own Giuliana and Bec, who stepped onto the runway with confidence, grace, and plenty of smiles. They represented Genovation beautifully and looked absolutely amazing! 👏

It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout, with the community coming together to support a cause that means so much to us.

We are incredibly grateful to the Blue Illusion stores across NSW for choosing to support Genovation. Through the fundraiser, 7% of all sales were donated, raising an amazing almost 🩵 $1,700 🩵 for our organisation! Every dollar raised helps us continue supporting people living with disability to live fulfilling, connected, purposeful and meaningful lives.

To everyone at Blue Illusion, everyone who attended, shopped, donated, and cheered us on—thank you! Your generosity, kindness, and community spirit mean more than words can express. 🧡🩵💜

💪 On Mondays, we go to the gym! 💪

Our Young Adult Enrichment Program loves kicking off the week at the gym, where our young adults work towards their individual fitness goals, build confidence, improve their wellbeing, and most importantly, have fun together!

Navigating the transition to adulthood can feel overwhelming for families living with complex care needs - but you don’t have to do it alone.

As a parent-led organisation, Genovation understands the unique challenges families face as our children grow older, particularly during the transition from school into adulthood.

Turning 16 and then 18 brings significant changes — not only for our loved ones, but for the entire family. From financial considerations to legal responsibilities and future planning, there is a lot to learn and navigate.

To help ease some of the confusion and stress, we are excited to host our very first Parent Information Session! This session is designed to provide practical, valuable information to support families through these important life stages.

We are proud to welcome guest speakers and representatives from:

✔️ Centrelink
✔️ Caldwell Martin Cox Solicitors

Together, we will explore topics specifically relevant to families living with complex care needs.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures in our Genovation community. 🌸

We especially recognise the strength, love, dedication and advocacy of mums raising children and young adults with additional needs. The care you give each day, often quietly and tirelessly behind the scenes is admirable and reflects a special love beyond words.

🌾🐓Belgenny Farm 🐓🌾

Our Young Adult Enrichment Program group spent the day exploring Belgenny
farm, meeting the animals (including some very curious chickens🐔), and soaking up the fresh air. There were plenty of smiles as we wandered through the grounds, checked out all the elements of the farm, and enjoyed a relaxed walk together.

It was a great hands-on experience and a chance to connect with nature, try something different, and just enjoy the simple things.

We also loved how accessible the space was, allowing everyone to comfortably take part and enjoy the day at their own pace.

Looking forward to many more adventures like this!
