This year's NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly," celebrates five decades of recognising and honouring the strength, resilience, cultures, achievements and enduring contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of those who have led the way and to continue walking together in the spirit of respect, reconciliation and celebration.

The Base Support Services Inc. is proud to be celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026 and is excited to be at Kambu Health's NAIDOC Week Community Celebration today at Ferrari Park, Laidley!

πŸŽ‰Come celebrate NAIDOC LOCKYER VALLEY Week with us TOMORROW! πŸŽ‰

NAIDOC Week 2026 is extra special this year. The theme is 50 Years of Deadly, marking five decades of celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and communities. For fifty years, NAIDOC themes have captured stories of survival, resistance, pride and culture, carried forward by generations of organise activists and community members who refused to be silenced. This year, we celebrate that legacy and everything it represents.

Join Kambu Health’s NAIDOC week celebrations at Ferrari Park in Laidley for a fun-filled day for the whole family. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance troupes, kids activities, community service information booths, food and drinks, and plenty of stalls to browse.

Don't forget to visit the Amaroo Kindergarten stall where staff with be helping our children and families to engage with culture, learn, and be part of something truly historic within our community.

What we're looking for:

βœ” Experience supporting people with disability, mental health, ABI, or complex support needs

βœ” A person-centred and strengths-based approach to service delivery

βœ” Motivation to support participants to identify, work towards, and achieve their goals and aspirations

βœ” The ability to source suitable community activities, programs, and opportunities that align with participants' interests and NDIS goals
