Happy Australian National Flag Day!

Today, 3 September, we celebrate Australian National Flag Day, marking the first time the Australian National Flag was flown during Australia’s year of Federation.

For Scouts, flags are a familiar and proud part of our Scouting journey. From unit nights and camps to activities, ceremonies and major events, you’ll often find a flag flying alongside us.

A huge shoutout to two of our own from Springfield Scout Group! ⚜️

A massive congratulations to 1 of our Leaders and 1 Rover who received Scouts Australia Adult Recognition Awards this year! 🏆

These awards are a brilliant way to recognise the incredible effort, late nights, and weekend camps our adult volunteers put in to keep Scouting running smoothly.

Thank you both for everything you give to our youth members and the Springfield community—we appreciate you! 👏

1st August Scouts from all around the world will celebrate World Scout Day. For many people, it will seem like just another Saturday. But for us, it is something much more.

It is a day to remember that more than a century ago, a small group of young people gathered around a campfire with a man we call BP, who believed the world could be better if young people were given the chance to lead it.

From that first camp on Brownsea Island in 1907 grew a movement that spread across oceans, crossed borders and changed lives. Just one year later, Scouting arrived in Australia.

Today, more than 118 years on, our Springfeild Scouts are part of that story together with more than 60 million other young people.

Today is World Scout Day! 🤩

This is a chance for all of us to promote Scouting by wearing your scarf to work or whilst you are out shopping or meeting family and friends.

It is an opportunity to start a conversation about your role in Scouting and encourage others to consider joining this wonderful movement.
