It is with great sadness that we farewell Dave Shuter, long time local farmer and friend to many in our local community and volunteer firefighter with Gerogery Fire Brigade. Dave passed away on 27th April. Our condolences to his family and our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

For the last 10 days NSW Rural Fire Service - Southern Border district fire brigades have been crossing the border to assist with the Walwa bushfire. A fantastic effort by all!
Being a volunteer fire fighter is a big committment bringing responsibility to our communities and personal rewards for what we do. This also applies to other emergency volunteer organisations.
A big thankyou to all.
