Another exciting 5week course is about to begin for potters who are above the beginner stage in pottery, run by 2 very experienced potters.
All information is on the application form, this is definitely aimed for experienced potters who wish to improve all aspects of their craft.

Expressions of Interest Needed!
The Centre is looking at holding Acrylic Art lessons on either or both Wednesdays or Saturdays from 10am - 1pm.
Art requirements needed:
A4 size canvas/art board
Medium size container + lid for water eg (jam jar)
Apron, hand towel + towel to rest work on
Disposable palette
Note Pad/pencil/ruler/kneadable rubber

Brushes - suitable for acrylic paints -
Taklon or similar, eg Francheville - not hog hair/stiff bristles
3/4" angle flat
1/2" flat
Round brush either #3 or #4
1/4" filbet
Plus bring any brushes & acrylic paints that you already have
The above are all available locally

Cost - approx $30pp per 3hr session
Maximum of 8 students
A sample of painting "The Drovers" is attached

Long awaited & very popular pottery lessons are going to begin in early August. These lessons will encompass beginners wheel throwing & handbuilding by two of our very talented members. The wheel throwing already has only one or two vacancies, while there is a few more vacancies in the handbuilding ( which will cover coiling & slab building + more that enables many various shapes to be made).

Just a few pictures from 2 of Saturday's workshops. All involved were very happy with their tutors & the end products that they were able to produce in a couple of hours! "We will be back" was the unanimous outcome from both of these classes.
