Last nights pictures southern estuary hall being demolished smashed crockery glasses plates cups everything in the kitchen was destroyed on the tennis court, two septic tanks open lids you can see water and toilet paper and poo, and where are our ringtails and brush tails possums that live in this area. what has the city done to these animals . we have a population of ringtails in this location. Better ask the Economist he may know. he know about the environment no wait. he is an economist not an environmental planner the city does not have environmental planner. so this is the result. check out the pictures.

Hello possum followers. was down at the southern estuary hall. [it's being demolished ] have the pictures to show. came across what the city has done.
all the crockery that was in the kitchen draws and cupboards is now smashed on the tennis courts, go take a look, southern estuary hall Thisbe rd ,
must of taken a few hours for that amount of smashed glass, cups, saucers, mugs, plates, serving plates, dessert bowls, pots and pans, frying pans, buckets, seriously what the hell?
don't look at the front where the septic tanks are the lids are off as well, and you can see toilet paper in the water inside the tanks, another what the hell,
BUT where are our ringtail possums and brush tail possums that were in and around the hall you see evidence of possum entries on the estuary side. So what happened to our possums. Over 12 months ago the City and a previous staff member and 3 other staff members did not like what I said in a post. It was Concerning the southern Estuary Hall and the ringtails that the City had killed and they knew about these little guys I don't keep secrets not like the CoM , from this posting , this is what the City of Mandurah has done to me [I actually don't give a brassrazoo ] and no thought or regard or protection for endangered wildlife or p listed bandicoots either other than putting up for sale signs on land for commercial development, were offered by this shire of Mandurah at all by anyone in the City.
The city refused to answer any emails from me, refused phone calls to the environment section from me, unless I apologised.
I explained whole heartedly. it will be a cold day in hell when that would happen.
I will not ever apologise for speaking out on the economic waste and over spending , spin doctoring, green washing, environmental destruction this LGA has done. and get this one of the in the CoM believes that Yalgorup National Park tree canopy should be included in Mandurah tree canopy percentage.

I was very clear in speaking to the person and the answer is no Yalgorup is a national park. Well just how much has the CoM destroyed our tree canopy its less than 18% so we cannot replace lost tree canopy, it takes years to grow. And I believe that an economist is now a pseudo environmental planner. What does an economist know about our living environment. This person was talking to the mayor a few days ago. and very happy at the thought of making money by building multi story and I mean multi story apartments.
let me explain. council rates you know the ones we just received, just shy of $2,000. 00 well mine were, multi story apartments are rated by apartment or by per floor, more apartments more rates. $$$$$ If you read the leaflets inside the envelope were bushfire levy and another leaflet, this leaflet said lots of things, have a read of it, it tells you what you're getting for your rates.
Apparently we have environmental protection programs, ?????Conservation programs,??????? [National tree day is not run by the city of Mandurah] this is a national conservation effort run by volunteers. Same as our Blackcockatoo's. volunteers and private funding the CoM did not want anything to do with the our Cockatoo's and our critically endangered possums, [I wonder why. perhaps the actual true percentage of tree canopy would be exposed]
All our not for profit groups are not employed by City of Mandurah, they might dangle a small grant in our faces but that is it.
Free and low cost community events Crab Fest [expensive event, ground Maintance after event is ongoing and that is not cheap with all the grass] groups not for profit could not afford a stall Stalls were priced at $300 and upwards. Christmas in Mandurah we as rate payers pay for what you see,
Winter in Mandurah, we pay for the generators that keep the ice rink frozen otherwise it would be a just another swimming pool .

So green washing, environmental vandalism, spin doctoring, multi story apartments, Mandurah is/was for sale.
Over development is good for the greedy.
The only land left for sale is for commercial/retail, no land left for sub divisions, we gutted Mandurah for sub divisions. Culled the roos, destroyed nesting areas, killed off common species its called local extinction, we have less ringtail populations less brush tail populations , less and less until there is nothing only tiny pockets of wildlife in reserves that are not managed properly, or the City with DBCA yes DBCA will burn our reserves. like they have done previously.

Maybe I should ask the economist for a reserve management plan? seeing we do not have an environmental planner as we do not have any environment left other than assets to sell and commercial land to sell, the strip of land behind Coles in Dawesville has bandicoots this is a priority listed species.

Does the city care, obviously not, only care about what the rates will bring in is the CoM in dept.??? the CoM would not care if its avian nesting time either, they did care, once, a long time ago . The CoM don't care if the species is endangered why would they bother if is a tiny wren or a wiggy wag tail with little chicks, WHY WOULD THEY, WHEN THEY SHOULD. BECAUSE WE AS RESIDENTS DO. how would the city like it if 50,000 people/residents decided to not pay their rates, either on developed or undeveloped land interesting effect that would be , don't you think????

As a sub. The Dawesville community centre/house. apparently is renting its room out to a religious group/community. It the only people interested. especially as the prices the city are charging are outrageous. We cannot afford to hire a meeting room . So much for the community, the City is offering very little. So what are we actually getting for our rates, verge pick up, and bins, I see a lot of weeds on our verges and no to spraying glyphosate. are you really serious spraying a poison. well the city is good at killing our environment Maybe they don't have the money to apply proper management I suppose our rates will go up again? I am still waiting to find out .

Very happy with the verge pick up and bins.

I have sent out multiple emails to the City of Mandurah Mayor etc etc.etc. have also involved the ombudsman. rang me last week will be in touch with the CEO regarding the volunteer list that the resigned CoM staff member removed. reinstall it. and for good measure ACCC on where has the money gone. Our population is over 109 K. expected to reach double that by 2035 why is it EXPECTED ??? because an economist said it?

Do you want that many people in a tiny place like Mandurah. We live on a island, falcon, Halls Head, Parts of Wannanup, Erskine, we are also an aging population.
Where are you going to place all the senior citizens put them on a big boat put them out to sea and forget about them. Ask the economist. he may want to return back to England by then exchange rate will be more than double.

Hello. Have a think about this Scotts reef potential environmental destruction can we please not destroy anymore of our environment . we seem to be repeating the same methods and saying the same things keep your hands off our environment. while we are here consider the young southern wright whale that is meandering in our Mandurah Estuary also consider that the nut job in the dingy and the towing of a biscuit with rider and the jetskey have only made things worse for the whale be mindful whales weigh in the tons, keep up the harassment and the whale will turn into a human hating battering ram . Woodside’s proposed Browse gas project would cost our oceans, our climate and our communities — all so multinational gas exporters can profit. For the first time in eight years, the federal government has opened up public consultation on Woodside’s Browse gas export proposal.
