We're doing a little something different this movie night. We are going to be watching the first two episodes of The Boroughs on Netflix! it has an all-star cast of Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Denis O'Hare, Clarke Peters, Carlos Miranda, Jena Malone, Seth Numrich, Alice Kremelberg, Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, and Jane Kaczmarek!

If you don't know about the show, the premise from IMDB is: "In a seemingly picturesque retirement community, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don't have… time."

Fun fact! Episode 2 is written by former CSFG guest Jose Molina. To celebrate the show (and his episode) our movie night watch will be the first two episodes of the show. It's currently available for streaming on Netflix.

For those of you unfamiliar with our movie watch, we basically sync up our devices of choice in the convenience of our own homes and hit play at 8pm. We then have a conversation as we watch over on our Discord Channel.

We hope you can come join us!

June’s Meeting Announcement: Workshop With Addie!
Are you planning any (fictional) financial crimes? Do you want to build a world where souls are currency? Have you ever wondered how vampire-hunters pay the rent? Join us as A.D. Ellicott decodes economics for worldbuilding.

Addie is an economist who has worked across tax policy, international policy, and macroeconomic forecasting. She’ll run through:

what your currency says about your society,
how to leverage economics to drive conflict, and
magic systems as metaphors for economic inequality.
Our general meeting will be 7pm on Wednesday 17 June at the Burns Club in Kambah. Link to the online meeting will be posted on csfg.groups.io and our Discord server before the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
