With the weather heating up over the next few days please be mindful if you are using a slasher or power tools outside that a small spark can turn into a fire very quickly. If you are using any of these please have a water source readily available and your phone to call triple 0 if things do get out of control.

If you’re flying a drone near a bushfire, that means our aircraft can’t.

Our crews often need to fly lower than the usual, which means they may be grounded if drones are operating in the area.

We know fires can look impressive from above, but please keep the skies clear so our aerial firefighting units can do what they do best.

Congratulations Max, State volunteer of the year.
Our first officer Max Pearce received the State Volunteer of the Year Award for his 47 years of dedicated service to the North Dallarnil Rural Fire Brigade. Over nearly five decades, he has made a profound impact on emergency response, community safety, and regional resilience. A pivotal leader, he helped transform the local fire service from grassroots efforts into a structured and effective emergency organisation. Beyond operations, he has driven community education, youth engagement, and disaster recovery initiatives, while mentoring volunteers and advocating for long-term improvements. His steadfast leadership and commitment to his brigade and community make him an outstanding candidate for this honour.
