Music, arts, surf, markets, family fun & sunset concerts at Crookhaven Park. Come play with us. The Culburra Beach Festival is a grassroots celebration of music, arts, food and coastal life. Every year our community comes together for a weekend of good vibes in beautiful Burradise. 🌊

In 2025, from 26–28 September, Crookhaven Park will host an incredible line-up of live music alongside makers markets, food stalls, family activities, and community entertainment. This year also features the ever-popular Café Music Trail and the annual Burra Surf Bash surf comp. It’s the South Coast’s favourite long weekend — full of sunsets, dancing, and community spirit.

📷The Culburra Beach Photographic Group run a competition to produce this beautiful calendar as a fundraiser for the Culburra Beach Festival.

🙏Thanks to Merrilyn Helliwell who started the calendar project, it goes from strength to strength with local photographers competing every year for 13 spots.

🎄A great Christmas gift for family, friends and visitors, it’s a lovely visual celebration of the changing moods our coastal village.

👏 Congratulations to all of the photographers and 👏👏 to Janet Harris for the stunning 2027 cover photo.

📍Culburra Beach Calendars are now available to buy at CULBURRA COMMUNITY CENTRE, FISHWICKS, CULBURRA BEACH MEDICAL CENTRE, FIRST NATIONAL REAL ESTATE, CULBURRA HAIR & BUSTED SURF COMPANY. We will also be selling them outside Woolworths and at the Culburra Beach Markets from November.

Th...th...th...that's all folks!
We hope you enjoyed our Festival highlights and that you made some beautiful memories of your own.

❤️ Heartfelt thanks from the Culburra Beach Festival organisers to the local community, friends and live music fans for coming down to Crooky Park. And to the incredible artists and performers for sharing their music with us.

🌕 We celebrated under a full moon and a balmy night sky on Friday night, in the searing heat on Saturday, in wind and rain on Saturday night & Sunday. And the community spirit just kept on flowing! 🙌

🙌 COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHTS 🙌

Thank you to the local musicians, artists and community groups and individuals who brought their beautiful energy and talents to our community day event to make it so special.

🎤 FESTIVAL COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHT

In its third year now, the Power FM Culburra's Got Talent competition is going gangbusters, giving emerging talent of all ages a chance to show our panel of celebrity judges what they can do. Power FM radio have sponsored the top prize for the last two years, with Issy Capone (from Stolzy & Issy) heading up our judging panel.

This year, the junior competition was won by Julian Palmer for his poem celebrating life in Culburra Beach.

The Senior competition winner was Lillian who wowed the judges with her performance of "Toxic." Lillian won $600 and the opportunity to perform her song on 94.9 Power FM radio. We are thrilled to support her at this early stage of her career.

HUGE thanks to all the contestants for getting up and having a go and for making the judges decision so hard. Thanks also to judges Issy Capone, Les Gock and Michael Horrocks for their supportive feedback, and to Power FM for collaborating with the festival on this event.

Lillian will also be performing at The Common South Coast in Culburra Beach, in October, so you can also catch her there.

🙌 FESTIVAL COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHT

The Culburra Beach Primary School performance of the song "Cullunghutti" has become a festival tradition that is always a heartwarming experience as we see new generations moving through the local school. The song pays respect to the sacred mountain that watches over our village and can be seen from many places and perspectives.

This year, the Culburra Beach pre-schoolers joined Culburra Primary singing this beautiful song that is an anthem for our town. Our thanks to the teachers and parents for making this a memorable event.

🙌 FESTIVAL COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHT

Les Gock's Dad Joke Competition is becoming a regular highlight of Culburra Beach Festival, with kids, dads and mums lining up to tell their most groan worthy dad jokes. Some even came back to the mic for seconds.

😂 The audience response this year pointed to a clear favourite. The winning dad joke was:

"Why do beans want to move to Queensland?
Because they want to be in Cairns."

What a sensational Aussie dad joke!

Thanks to all the local jokers and to Les Gock for bringing his unique humour as well as his exceptional guitar-playing to our 2026 festival.

🙌 FESTIVAL COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHT
The dancers from KC Dance Company dazzled on Saturday with their high energy routines. Big thanks to all the dancers and to Cherie Kowe for bringing her troupe to our festival. They also participated in the talent quest where they impressed the judges with their super slick routine.

🙌 COMMUNITY DAY HIGHLIGHT
The Pooch Parade Competition was hotly contested this year with a fierce field of furry competitors of all shapes and sizes. Hosted by Issy Capone from Power FM, there was pedigree, flamboyance and one case of stage fright but they all did their owners proud on the catwalk. . Check out some of the 2026 contenders.
