A huge thank you to our incredible community for your amazing support of the Huskisson RSL sub-Branch ANZAC Appeal.

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over $7,000, making this our largest fundraising effort to date. πŸ‘

From purchasing badges and memorabilia, donating at our stalls and simply stopping by for a chat, every contribution has made a real difference.

These funds will help us continue supporting local veterans and their families within our community.

We would also like to sincerely thank our dedicated volunteers, members, local businesses, and everyone who gave their time and support throughout the appeal.

Your kindness and community spirit have been truly overwhelming.

Huskisson RSL sub-Branch extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the Australian Army soldier who tragically lost their life during a parachuting training incident at Jervis Bay Airfield over night.

Our thoughts are also with the other soldier injured in the incident, and with the broader Defence community at this difficult time.

Lest we forget 🌺

RSL NSW extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Special Air Service Regiment soldier Warrant Officer Class Two Lachlan Muddle, who tragically lost his life during a parachuting training incident at Jervis Bay Airfield, on the state’s south coast.

Our thoughts are also with the other soldier injured in the incident, and with the broader Defence community at this difficult time.

Training accidents are a stark reminder of the risks our servicemen and women continue to face in service to the nation, both here at home and abroad.

We ask that the privacy of those affected be respected.

We honour the service and sacrifice of all Australian Defence Force personnel who continue to put themselves in harm’s way in service of our country.

Lest we forget 🌺

A wonderful morning was had by all at our Social & Recreation Tea & Scones event last Thursday, 23rd April, in the lead up to ANZAC Day.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Huskisson Bakery Cafe for their generous hospitality and support in hosting us.

Our members thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed catch-up over a cuppa, delicious scones, and some classic ANZAC biscuits.

Adding to the charm of the morning, even the rainbow lorikeets made an appearance, joining in and making it a truly memorable gathering.

Thank you to everyone who attended we love seeing our community come together like this.

The Huskisson RSL sub-Branch would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended ANZAC Day yesterday.

The three Huey helicopters conducting the flypast at the start of the parade created an incredible atmosphere and set the tone for a truly memorable day, thanks to HARS Aviation Museum - Albion Park.

What an amazing turnout with over 5,000 people in attendance, it was one of the largest crowds we’ve ever seen.

A special thank you to Club Jervis Bay for their outstanding support. Your contribution played a vital role in the success of the event.

We would also like to thank Fat Sound for providing sound throughout the parade and commemoration service, Site Specific Traffic Management & Planning and Huskisson Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade for generously donating their time to assist with road closures, and Marine Rescue Jervis Bay for taking such great care of the school children with a sausage sizzle.

Your support, dedication, and community spirit helped make the day so meaningful.

Lest We Forget.
