Today, members of the Huskisson RSL sub-Branch and our local community come together to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day.

Today is especially significant as we mark 60 years since the Battle of Long Tan, fought on 18 August 1966.

We pause to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of all Australians who served in the Vietnam War, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We also remember the families, friends and communities who supported our veterans during and after their service.

Today We Remember

Today, the Huskisson RSL sub-Branch will host our Vietnam Veterans Day Commemorative Service, and we warmly invite our community to join us.

Take a moment this afternoon to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of Australia's Vietnam veterans and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This Tuesday – Vietnam Veterans Day Service

This Tuesday, 18 August, the Huskisson RSL sub-Branch invites our community to come together to honour and remember those who served during the Vietnam War.

Vietnam Veterans Day commemorates the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan and recognises the service and sacrifice of all Australian personnel who served in Vietnam.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Your presence is a meaningful way to show support for our veterans and their families.

We hope you can join us as we remember those who served with courage, honour and dedication.

Vietnam Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan and provides an opportunity for our community to reflect, remember and pay tribute to all who served.

The service is open to all members of the community. Whether you have a personal connection to Vietnam veterans or simply wish to show your respect, your attendance would be greatly appreciated.

Together, let us remember those who served and those who never came home.

🎄✨ What a Magical Christmas in July! ✨🎄

What a fantastic evening celebrating Christmas in July with an Italian Twist! More than 30 members of the Huskisson RSL sub-Branch came together for a night filled with laughter, friendship, delicious food, and festive cheer.

🎅 The excitement reached its peak when Santa made a surprise appearance during our Secret Santa gift exchange! There were smiles all around as everyone unwrapped some fantastic gifts, including:
🎒 a lunch box,
🐌 a quirky snail with scratchies,
🎟️ a lottery gift pack,
🎄 and a Christmas tree filled with scratchies!

The fun didn't stop there, with plenty of festive outfits on display and Santa photos wrapping up a truly memorable evening.

A huge thank you to Lou, Robyn and the wonderful team at La Vespa Italian Restaurant for your warm hospitality and for making the night such a success. Your delicious food and outstanding service helped make it an event to remember.

DVA is rolling out updated Veteran Cards between July and October.

Some card holders may not receive their new card before their current card’s printed expiry date.

All Veteran Cards remain valid during this period – even if they appear expired.

While the cards will have a new look, there are no changes to entitlements, eligibility, or how they are used.
