Lake Colac parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at Lake Colac. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

We were very fortunate with the weather today, we had a slightly windy morning, but otherwise nice weather for parkrun.

This week 34 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 6 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests.

The event was made possible by 9 volunteers:

Tomorrow's weather forecast looks interesting to say the least....

At this point in time, parkrun IS happening tomorrow.

While rain or light wind won't stop parkrun, Lightning or high wind will.

We will re-assess in the morning and post an update here.

What a way to celebrate our 50th event — it was a SEA OF RED!

A cool but calm morning on the lake weather-wise, and so great to have visitors joining us from Ballarat, Inverleigh, Bannockburn and beyond.

We also had a fantastic turnout of new participants ! It was wonderful to have you along and we hope to see you back again soon. 👏

What a great turn out of people in red to celebrate our 50th milestone.

This week 67 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 20 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 1 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 10 volunteers:

Remember this Saturday we will be hosting our 50th parkrun at Lake Colac, we are asking everyone if they can come dressed in some red to mark milestone.

We are also after one marshal for turn around and one volunteer to hand out finish tokens. If you are able to help please let us know.

Lake Colac certainly decided to give us four seasons in one morning! 😂🌦️☀️🌬️
But a bit of wild weather wasn’t going to stop our parkrunners!

This morning, 35 people ran, jogged and walked their way around the lake, including 4 first timers and 5 new Personal Bests! 👏🎉

And, as always, a HUGE thank you to our amazing team of 10 volunteers who made Event #49 happen:
