Last night Lower Hunter Multicultural Communities was proud to host a community dinner to welcome our two new doctors and their families to Cessnock. We sincerely thank the Federal Member for Hunter Dan Repacholi MP for joining us, along with local councillors Sophie Palmowski- Cessnock City Councillor Mitchell Hill - Cessnock City Councillor , community leaders Beer Rai, and the new manager HMC - Hunter Multicultural Communities Inc . Your presence meant a great deal and reflected strong support for a welcoming community. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who brought a dish, lent a hand or simply came along. We hope this is the first of many gatherings that bring people together and strengthen connections. Welcome to Cessnock to our two new doctors and their families. We’re so glad you’re here.

Thank you to HMC - Hunter Multicultural Communities Inc for joining us last night and for all your Support🙏

A wonderful evening in Cessnock doing multiculturalism with Lower Hunter Multicultural Communities.

It was great to see local residents, multicultural community leaders, local and federal elected representatives, and supporters from across the region.

At a time when some members of our community have experienced hostility simply because of who they are, gatherings like this send a much stronger message: regional Australia is a welcoming multicultural Australia.
