Today we spent a lovely morning with our Lower Hunter Multicultural Communities family. 🌏❤️
We caught up, shared ideas and also celebrated Mario’s birthday together. 🎂🎉 A special moment was hearing Happy Birthday in different languages, including a Ghanaian language.
A morning filled with laughter, culture and community connection.

Tonight, we gathered in Cessnock to stand in solidarity with our Nepalese community. 🇳🇵🕯️

It was moving to see the Nepalese communities from Cessnock, Newcastle and across the Hunter come together with local community members, leaders Mitchell Hill - Cessnock City Councillor and Cessnock Bellbird Uniting Church to remember those who have lost their lives and support those affected.

Together, we shared prayers, a moment of silence, flowers, messages of hope and candlelight.

Thank you to everyone who came and stood together with the people of Nepal. ❤️

🕯️ Together for Nepal 🇳🇵
Lower Hunter Multicultural Communities invites everyone to join us for a candlelight vigil as we remember those who lost their lives in the devastating floods in Nepal.
Come along as we stand together with the Nepalese community, light a candle and show our support to the families and communities affected.
