Had an AMAZING afternoon with a group of Centacare Catholic Country SA staff last Thursday, as part of their conference here in Ceduna.
The participants were given the opportunity to learn about the program, why we work with horses, and to experience an Equine Assisted Learning session for themselves. Not only were there some great insights, but lots of fun as well!
A huge thank you to Centacare for supporting the program throughout the year, and for giving me the opportunity to share it with your staff from all over our region.

Some of my favourite moments come when I am working with women. Women who have poor self confidence and self esteem, who find it hard to trust, even themselves.
So how powerful is it to put on a blindfold and lead a 500kg animal through an obstacle?
Because not only must you trust the horse, you must also trust yourself. Trust that you can find the right path. Trust in your judgement. Trust that you can keep yourself and your horse/teacher safe. Only then will they follow you through.
Only then will you feel the elation, and the sense of accomplishment that comes at the end, learning to trust yourself.

Thank you to everyone who voted for Willow. We didn't win, but we did show that not every horse has to have a ridden career, and that Off the Trackers can turn their hooves to just about anything!
And Willow will always be a star in my eyes. 🥰

We’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible stories shared in this year’s “Where Are They Now” competition, and while they’re all champions in our eyes, there can only be one winner…. CONGRATULATIONS SHAQUERO!!

Willow is a finalist in the Thoroughcare SA Where are they now? competition.

We received so many nominations for thoroughbreds who are so clearly loved and cared for after racing, and choosing only four finalists for our Where Are They Now Competition was challenging.

Nonetheless, we are excited to share our finalists, who we believe exemplify a variety of the many post-racing paths that horses can follow.
