One Heart is working in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania to help end poverty for vulnerable children by providing a loving home, quality education, healthcare and hope for a new future. Founder in 2007, One Heart is creating a series of sustainable communities which is empowering individuals and caring for vulnerable children through education, entrepreneurship and most importantly, love. ya and Uganda, we currently care for 150 children, educate over 400, and have a long term goal to be directly impacting 100,000 lives annually by 2030, and in doing so help end the poverty cycle.

Dean Landy, our founder, dreamed of creating sustainable communities across East Africa, places where vulnerable children could be lifted out of poverty and given the chance to thrive.

That dream began to take shape in 2007, when the very first One Heart team travelled to Kenya and established our first rescue home.

Today, thanks to the dedication of our partners and sponsors, entire communities are being transformed.

They’re off! Our amazing Run for Change 2025 team has officially landed in Kenya 🇰🇪 and begun their 10-day journey with One Heart Foundation!

Over the next week and a half, they’ll be:
