Musana is building social enterprises and holistic communities that lift underserved communities out of poverty in East Africa so that every man, woman and child can flourish, living lives free from dependency and full of dignity. Founder in 2007, One Heart is creating a series of sustainable communities which is empowering individuals and caring for vulnerable children through education, entrepre

neurship and most importantly, love. Working in Kenya and Uganda, we currently care for 150 children, educate over 400, and have a long term goal to be directly impacting 100,000 lives annually by 2030, and in doing so help end the poverty cycle.

Nine incredible people get to make this statement in 2026: I am part of a record-breaking team who ran a full (or half) marathon at altitude in Kenya — and helped raise $201,078 to break the cycles of dependency and poverty; bringing hope and dignity.

That's an incredible average of $22,342 raised per person!

Musana and One Heart began within 12 months of each other and have the same vision - to see the cycle of poverty broken through sustainable community development.

In 2024, Dean Landy - Founder of One Heart - and Andrea & Haril Kazindra - Co-founders of Musana - crossed paths. After many conversations and exploration of what could be, they asked the question, why replicate when we can collaborate?

Today, One Heart & Musana are joining to become Musana Global.

With a proven, scalable and sustainable model, together we will impact more children, communities and regions through locally led & owned social enterprises, schools and hospitals.
