Some of the Cardiff Crew will be there! Hope to see you there!

Hi All,
There is a Basic & Intermediate Abseiling Course at Narara from Sat 21st November to Sun 22nd November.

For Youth Members, this could be a weekend to learn or improve vertical skills, obtain OAS progressions or just to have some fun in the outdoors.

For Leaders, this could also be a way to gain knowledge and evidence for Safe Participant or Trained Participant Qualifications.

Please see the posters below and Scout Event details for more information.

Kind Regards,
Yours in Scouting,

🎉 A Big Night for Cardiff Scouts Week 1 for Term 4! 🎉

This week marked an exciting milestone for our growing Joey and Cub Scout sections, with the introduction of three Cub Scout Patrols and one Joey Patrol.

Congratulations to our newly appointed Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders who stepped up brilliantly and embraced their new leadership roles.

The night was packed with learning by doing with a focus on introduction to Scouting and Introduction to Section including a review of the Achievement Pathways for the Joey Promise and Cub Grey Wolf Award. We also talked about how Scouts track their adventures and progress through Terrain.

A huge thank you to our parent helpers, Scout and Venturer helpers, and leadership team for making the evening a success.

It's fantastic to see so many young people developing confidence, leadership and teamwork through Scouting. We can't wait to see what our new patrols achieve!

Cardiff Scout Group: Looking Ahead with Confidence ⚜️

Scouts NSW recently released this video outlining "The Way Ahead" for Scouting in NSW.

While there are challenges across the movement, Cardiff Scout Group has a great story to tell.

In less than 12 months, we've tripled our youth membership, creating even more opportunities for young people to experience adventure, challenge, leadership, friendship, and fun.

Behind the scenes, our volunteer leaders have been working hard to expand their skills and qualifications in areas such as bushwalking, cycling, and archery. And we're not stopping there. We're continuing to build our capabilities so we can offer even more adventurous experiences for our youth members in the future.

We're also proud to work closely with our District and Region teams, ensuring our young people have access to the very best opportunities Scouting has to offer. As Scouts, we're stronger when we work together. We're not one, but many.

Thanks to the dedication of our leaders, volunteers, committee members, families, and youth members, Cardiff Scout Group is in a very strong position!

If you've ever thought about giving Scouts a go, now is the perfect time to join us.
