On 18 June 2026, the team from Macarthur Womenโ€™s Health Centre attended the Macarthur & Wingecarribee Agency Exchange Day 2026 at Wests Leagues Club, Leumeah.

This annual event brings together community service organisations, sector workers, volunteers, students, and support services from across the region to connect, collaborate, and strengthen referral pathways for the benefit of our communities.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet with local service providers, share information about the programs and supports available at Macarthur Womenโ€™s Health Centre, and build meaningful connections with other organisations working to support women, families, and vulnerable community members.

Thank you to Sector Connect for organising another successful event and providing a valuable space for collaboration and networking across the community services sector. ๐Ÿ’œ

Together, we can create stronger networks and better outcomes for our community.

This week, we hosted an insightful Anxiety Workshop with our counsellor, Nancy, where we explored what anxiety is and how it can affect people in very different ways.

One of the key messages from the session was that anxiety is a broad term that can take many forms, and each person's experience is unique. What works for one person may not work for another.

We discussed the importance of getting to know yourself โ€” understanding your triggers, recognising what helps you feel calm and grounded, and identifying the self-care strategies that work best for you.

There is no universal solution or "magic pill" for anxiety. Instead, we can build our own personal toolkit of coping strategies, supports, and self-care practices that help us navigate life's challenges.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and contributed to a thoughtful and supportive discussion. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ“ž If you'd like to learn more about our workshops, groups, or counselling services, please contact Macarthur Women's Health Centre on (02) 9794 0177.

This is still a question asked by friends, family, work colleagues and bosses. This gives some context for all to have a better understanding. Please share this far and wide.

๐Ÿ’› For every woman who's been putting off her mammogram because of past trauma โ€” this one's for you.

Tanya Vojsk from BreastScreen NSW shares something really important: you don't have to go through your screening alone or in silence.

Their radiographers and receptionists are trained to support women who have experienced trauma โ€” including domestic and family violence. All you need to do is speak up and say "I feel nervous" or "I've been through something difficult." They will take it from there with care and respect. ๐Ÿค

Because EVERY woman deserves to feel safe when looking after her health.

๐ŸŽจโœจ Today at Womenโ€™s Health Group โœจ๐ŸŽจ

Today we enjoyed a wonderful Mindfulness & Rock Painting Workshop at Macarthur Womenโ€™s Health Centre.

Participants took time to slow down, relax, and express their creativity by transforming ordinary rocks into colourful works of art. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿชจ

The session was a great opportunity to practise mindfulness, connect with other women, and enjoy a few hours of creativity, conversation, and self-care in a supportive environment.

Every painted rock was unique, reflecting the creativity and personality of the women who created them. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and helped make the session such a positive and enjoyable experience.
