Over the past weekend we had 11 shooters competing in the May NRL22 monthly COF, including a couple of very special guests all the way from Canada taking out 1st and 2nd international shooters for our match!
Well done to Mark H for placing first, managing to beat Matt C in 2nd not by more imacts, but on time only, and to Lachy M for bringing up 3rd.
Thank you to Ben G for putting together a couple of extra stages, sticking to the Buchan theme and making for a great end to the day.

Location: SSAA East Gippsland - Buchan Rifle Range
Dust off your .22s, fill those mags, and get ready for another cracking day at Buchan!
This month we will be running a combination of Option 1 and 2, with the addition of two extra stages written by Ben G!

Yesterday we had 14 shooters competing in the April NRL22 monthly COF, including a couple of Eagle Park Precision Rifle Club members still on their way home from Imbil.
Well done to Karl for placing first, Stu G for 2nd managing to beat Warwick in 3rd by less than a second on the timed stage!
One of our resident Young Guns also put together a couple of extra stages, making for a fun extra challenge, especially in gusty winds.

🚨 🚨 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐑𝐋𝟐𝟐 𝐂𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐬 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄! 🚨
The latest NRL22 Course of Fire is officially out, and it’s one you’re not going to want to miss. This month brings a fun yet challenging COF that will test your fundamentals, positional stability, and stage management skills.
A huge thank you to Todd McBee and Dominic Thompson. Todd and Dominic proof
every COF prior to it being available to the NRL22 community. They ensure that each stage is well balanced, fun, and can be completed in the allotted par times.

Yesterday, nine competitors and several keen spectators gathered at the SSAA East Gippsland - Buchan Rifle Range for our monthly NRL22 - National Rimfire League Course of Fire. The match featured a dynamic mix of distances drawn from both Option 1 and Option 2 of the March COF. As always, competitors were reminded to refer to the official match book on the day for confirmed stage distances.

To keep things interesting, we also introduced a bonus challenge by revisiting a few classic stages from 2021. These fan favourites included the ever-memorable “chair” prop and a range of unsupported shooting positions. True to form, the stage produced plenty of laughter across the firing line, with surprisingly few colourful words heard.

Despite the unexpected appearance of some welcome sunshine and a curious emu wandering by, the match ran smoothly with one large squad working its way through all eight stages. A huge thank you goes to Mr Marshall, who spent most of the day spotting impacts behind his new pair of Vector X optics — not a single hit went unnoticed.

In the main NRL22 scoring, our reigning champion Matt C once again secured first place. He was closely followed by junior Mark H in second and Ben G in third. Ben credited his strong performance to a newly balanced rifle setup, with thanks to Allan Swan Gunsmithing & Swan Rifle Barrels for their quality workmanship and support.

The bonus stages brought only minor changes to the leaderboard, with Ben G and Mark H swapping positions while Matt C maintained his dominance at the top.

🎯 B.P.R.C NRL22 March COF – This Weekend!

The steel will be ringing again this Saturday, 14 March 2026 as we host our monthly NRL22 Match and Side Stages at the range.

This month’s match will feature the standard NRL22 - National Rimfire League stages along with three bonus stages, running as part of the full match. We’ve decided to be a little nice this month, but don’t get too comfortable… there’s still a mover in the mix and a few stage elements that will reward shooters who take the time to plan their approach. Remember, positions can be repeated, so a bit of strategy goes a long way.
