Island Quilters

Island Quilters Island Quilters are based at beautiful Bribie Island and meet each Wednesday morning for friendship, sewing and community projects.

The objects of Island Quilters are to advance and promote patchwork and quilting and any associated crafts; provide the best possible standard of facilities and instruction for members and to advance their needlework skills; provide, develop and promote such activities as from time to time are deemed appropriate to provide good fellowship; promote and enhance the work of the group within the local community; and to raise funds from time to time in support of local charitable causes.

Have you checked out the YouTube channel ‘Candy Tomato’? Her patterns, sold on Etsy, are relatively cheap but the range of items is enticing for those who want to make something different. I recently made the very handy carrier that has a little drawer within.
Candy Tomato has tutorials on YouTube, though the items are completely hand sewn. (I wasn’t going to that extreme, I’m telling you!)
