Hi everyone!

We’re so excited to be back for the final term of the year!

It’s been lovely meeting so many of you already, and I’m looking forward to meeting even more of our wonderful community over the coming weeks.

Check out our timetable below to see what’s happening at the Community Hub this term!

English classes and playgroup will be starting back NEXT WEEK! We can’t wait to see you all again and welcome some new faces too.

And just like that, another Term has finished! Going out with a bang for our English class celebration - if there's one thing we're good at, it's eating!!! English classes will return Thursday 22nd October.

And for this hub leader - it is goodbye for now! A sincere thank you to all who have come along to our programs over the last 4 years. I have loved getting to know you all and your families and this year have felt very blessed as you have shown your excitement for me as I am about to welcome my first child in only a matter of weeks!!!

I hope you have a wonderful school holiday break. Community Hub Programs will return in Week 2 of next Term with Zilya as the new hub leader!

This time tomorrow (10am) we have our final English Class for the term! However, our teacher Belinda is away so the class will be a celebration together. Bring a plate of food to share and let's enjoy each other's company!

This will also be an opportunity to say a final goodbye to Bonnie before she heads on Maternity Leave, and meet Zilya, the new hub leader who will be replacing Bonnie :)

We have had a great time this term with "The Garden" - a 6-week group program run by Relationships Australia.

Each week there have been different activities to explore our senses and it's been awesome to observe what the children like and don't like. We've also enjoyed the reflection time at the end talking about different elements of parenting, sharing tips and challenges. Today each child received a certificate in celebration and acknowledgement of their participation in the group this term!

This week is the last week of programs before school holidays! Tomorrow we have our last playgroup of the term - join us 9-11am in the Community Hub! See you then!

This week we've had a great time re-vamping our garden beds and pots! Check out this sweet little video one of our playgroup families sent through! ☺️🪷

Now we wait and see how the plants will grow! We will have the watering cans out each week for children and families to continue to care for our garden! 💦

We've planted some: Corn, Zucchini, Tomatoes, Spring Onion, Basil, Mint, and lots of flowers!!!🌽🍅🌿🪴

Thank you to my helpers during playgroup! This week we successfully moved our planter from the grass (where the grass would grow up through the planter making it very hard to grow anything else!) to the pavement!

It was great to see the children getting hands on in the garden, and finding a few friends along the way.... Plenty of slugs, worms, and other bugs!!

Next week in playgroup we are looking forward to reviving our planters and pots with some new plants!! Come along to join in on the fun!

Happening tonight!!! Playgroup Families are welcome to come along and see what has been happening at St Brigid's School in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) space. It is set to be a great night!

BUSH PLAYGROUP ON TOMORROW!!
It might rain a little bit so wear your gumboots, rain jackets, and maybe bring some spare clothes! We are going to have a great day out in nature!

The bus is full - but if you would still like to come you are welcome to drive yourself and meet us at Para Wirra Nature Play at 10am or come to the hub at 9am and follow behind the bus!

NO playgroup on tomorrow - but we will return as usual on Monday!

Happening in 2 weeks' Time! We are going back to Para Wirra!
We will be sharing a bus with another Community Hub - the bus will leave our hub at 9am! If you are wanting to come on the bus let me know as soon as possible as there are limited seats. The cost to come on the bus is $5 per family.

You will also need to fill out a consent form, available at the community hub/during playgroup times. *To come on the bus you must be registered with our playgroup*.

You are also welcome to come by yourself to Para Wirra, we will be meeting at the Park at 10am!
