🕯️ We're turning ONE! 🎉

A year ago, Beacon of Hope Project was just an idea born from lived experience and a belief that women deserve better. We're throwing our first birthday party — and it's also our unofficial launch AND our very first AGM!

Come celebrate with us on Tuesday 7th October at Wests Illawarra:

🎨 11:30am — Peer-led craft station, service mini-expo, our Inclusive Markets vendors, an info station on where we're headed next, and a panel discussion about the value of lived experience from specialists in supporting women; so far we have lined up Dr Karen Williams, MP Anna Watson and BOHP Peer Worker, Registered Nurse, Founder of Neurodivergent Nurses and PHD candidate researching neurodivergent nurses Jessie Smithers.
📋 2:00pm — Our first ever Annual General Meeting

This one's for everyone, it's about showing creativity, community and connection can happen anywhere — we welcome vendors, volunteers, partners, and the women we walk alongside. Let's celebrate how far we've come and where we're going next. 💗

We would love to congratulate 2 of of Young stall holders Summer & Amelia on their dedication long hrs of practicing, and finally performing yesterday
, multiple shows today and Tomorrow in the Southern Stars - The Arena Spectacular both having multiple different disabilities but are in amongst 3500 school aged children and teens who put on the most amazing concerts. Congratulations girls your an incredible inspiration to so many.

Today we're celebrating an incredibly kind, dedicated member of our community — our wonderful market vendor Jimmy, he travels all the way from Western Sydney just to be apart of BOHP Inclusive Market Events.

Jimmy's warmth, honesty, and generosity of spirit shine through in everything he does — from showing up, to supporting other market vendors, to being a genuine advocate for kindness, understanding, and looking out for one another.
