The Dan Murphy’s Regional Heroes program is a grassroots initiative that empowers local store teams to nominate and award $1,000 grants to charities, sporting groups, and community organisations in rural and regional Australia. The program enables store employees to support the causes that matter most to the communities where they live and work. ✨✨✨

This year, the Bateau Bay Dan Murphy’s store nominated Central Coast Kids in Need as the recipient of a $1,000 Visa Gift Card. 👏👏👏

The Roo's Foundation recently held their Charity Race Day at Wyong Race Club, and what a fantastic event it was! Loz, Greg and Rhonda were invited along as guests, alongside representatives from Biker's Hand, Volunteer Rescue and We Care Connect. The event was well attended and a wonderful time was had by all.💙 💙 💙

An incredible $13,000 was raised on the day, which will go towards supporting the four charities under the Roo's umbrella – Bikers Hand, Central Coast Kids in Need, Central Coast Volunteer Rescue and We Care Connect. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and to the generous companies who donated prizes on the day.
A very special thank you to Gina Coghlan, who worked tirelessly alongside her team to prepare and ensure the success of the event. Thank you so much Gina! 🙌 🙌 🙌

As you all have noticed, we have been getting some great funding from grants and donations. Without these grants and donations, we would not be able to continue to do the valuable work we do in the community. 💙💙💙

We are truly grateful to the Foundations & Trusts that provide the grants we have been successful with, and to the generous companies, community/sporting groups and individuals who raise funds to donate to CCKIN. Thank you everyone for your continued support, it is truly appreciated.

We thought we would give you all an update as to where this money is being spent.

Last financial year we had 461 children on our books and paid out $531,558 for accommodation, high-cost prescription items, specialised formulas, quality of life equipment and travel expenses.

Already this financial year we have 439 children and have outlaid $569,681. ✨✨✨

Over the past 21 years we have outlaid in excess of $6.3 million and assisted over 5,251 Central Coast families. 🙌🙌🙌

Awesome The Bikers Hand

We have a new charity on board and we could not be happier. Welcome to the team Uniting Doorways 🙏

This team provide essential services for homeless youth including food, counselling and housing assistance.

What an amazing charity assisting one of the most vulnerable and getting them back on their feet or to safety. We thank you for all you do and keep up your kindness 💜

Recently Rhonda and Loz attended a Morning Tea Presentation at Forrester's Beach Retirement Village Presentation with the delightful ladies from their Knitting and Sewing Groups. ✨✨✨

On the day we were presented with $2,000 from each group totalling $4,000. The wonderful ladies have been fundraising and supporting CCKIN since 2018 and in that time they have donated $53,500. 👏👏👏

These talented ladies make beautiful items hand made with love and sell them at the village and donate the funds made to CCKIN.

Thank you ladies, you are amazing and our wholehearted thanks goes to you for your ongoing support. 💙💙💙

Our amazing MC from our recent Charity Race Day, Daniel Challinor (aka Disco Dan), is putting on his dancing shoes for a wonderful cause - Stars of the Central Coast 2026, raising funds for Cancer Council NSW! 🎗️

Dan gave generously of his time for our kids, and now it's our turn to show up for him. He's aiming to raise $22,000 to help fund life-saving cancer research and support families across NSW.

Every donation - big or small - makes a difference. Let's help Disco Dan hit his goal in supporting the Cancer Council! 👏

Freemasons on the Central Coast/Karagi Court Ltd have been Race Sponsors since we started our Central Coast Kids in Need Charity Race Day 5 years ago. 💙 💙 💙

Over the years we have submitted applications for funding for our Born to Live Program and have received $20,000 from them.

Last year we again submitted a funding application and at our recent Race Day 🐎they presented us with a cheque for $12,880.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all concerned for their continued support of the work we do in our community. 👏 👏 👏

Volunteers needed at the The Bikers Hand!

** WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY***

We need volunteers at our Charmhaven Hub on Tuesday or a Friday for a minimum of 2 hours or as long as you can spare 🙏

We need vollies to pick orders and pack our hampers so we can continue to support those in need in our Community. Your help would mean we could keep up with demand of getting essential supplies to the 134 plus charities we now support.

You will gain new friends, new experience and the feeling you are helping those in our Community who need it most ❤️
