Congratulations to Chris Parker on being awarded Life Membership at our recent AGM!
Chris has dedicated more than 30 years to Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club, making an outstanding contribution both on and off the beach.
A highly accomplished competitor, Chris has claimed 16 Australian Open Championship medals, including 8 Gold, competed in four seasons of the Kelloggâs Nutrigrain Ironperson Series, medaled at more than 20 NSW State Championships and was the 2002 NSW State Titles Competitor of the Carnival. He has also represented multiple SLSCC Inter Branch Teams and competed at the 2003 World Lifesaving Titles, finishing 2nd in the Open Board Rescue.
Beyond competition, Chris has given countless hours to patrol and club leadership. He served as Water Captain for well over a decade, along with roles including Patrol Captain, Vice Patrol Captain, Junior Club Captain, Age Manager, Assistant Coach, Director of Administration and Vice IRB Captain.
His commitment to developing future generations of lifesavers through coaching, mentoring, patrol leadership and training has made a lasting impact on our club.
