RAES CWC, participants from Angurugu and Umbakumba came together this week to learn and engage in W**d Vegetation Management Training facilitated by ALC Ranger Tony.

The training supports our local community with stopping Ornamental Rubber Vine and Cats Claw Creeper spreading across country.

Tony educated the men on how to identify, cut and remove the weeds and apply a chemical herbicide gel in a safe way. This will stop these weeds ruining country and upsetting other vegetation and wildlife. Well done fellas !!

Last Friday, two of our Jobseekers participated in an AEC Information Session on the federal voting process. 🇦🇺 They learned practical steps — how to enrol, how to complete voting forms, how government is formed, how preferential voting works, why it’s important to stop and consider information before voting, and the differences between local, state and federal elections.

📩 Contact GEBIE RAES now to find out about future information sessions.
