🌼💛 ALPHA, YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN! 💛🌼

We are absolutely blown away to announce that together we raised an incredible $9,200 for Cancer Council! 🥹💛

Alpha, we truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Every ticket sold, every multidraw ticket bought, every prize donated, every bunch of daffodils purchased and every dollar donated from your hard-earned money has added up to something pretty special.

We know cancer affects 1 in 2 Australians, and we also know how strongly our little community gets behind those around us who have faced, or are facing, the hard battles that come with cancer.

Year after year, Alpha shows just how generous and caring our community is. We are so incredibly proud to be able to come together and raise money for such an important cause. 🌼

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Daffodil Day happen — our wonderful QCWA ladies, volunteers, local businesses, prize donors and everyone who came along on the day.

$9,200 is a fantastic effort, Alpha. You should all be very proud. 💛🌼

🌼💛 WOW, ALPHA! 💛🌼

What an incredible day Saturday was! We are feeling so incredibly blessed and grateful for the amazing turnout at our DAFFODIL DAY. 🥹💛

To everyone who came along, brought their families and friends, bought a raffle ticket, grabbed a bunch of daffodils, enjoyed the food, donated or simply helped make the day what it was — thank you! 🌼

A huge thank you to our wonderful QCWA ladies, our volunteers, local businesses and everyone who donated their time, food, prizes and support. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

It was so lovely seeing the Alpha community come together, have a laugh, enjoy some good food and get behind such an important cause.

And now for the big one… 👀

The gates open at 11am today at the Alpha Jockey Club, and we can’t wait to see you all!

We’ve got a fantastic day planned with so many great raffle prizes up for grabs, delicious homemade food, fresh daffodils, drinks, games and plenty of good company. 🎟️🌼🍰

🎟️ Tickets are available at the gate adult $25 — cash or card!

🎟️ Multi-draw raffle tickets are also available. If you can’t make it along today but would still like to get tickets send Judy a message and we can sort you out.

We’re putting together our multi-draw raffle for Daffodil Day and we’d love to fill it with some great prizes for everyone to have a chance at winning!

We’ve already had some fantastic donations come in but we’d love to keep adding to it!

Got something at home that you’ve never used? A gift you’ve been saving that could make a great prize? Or maybe you’ve got a few spare dollars and would like to purchase something from a local business to donate?

A century of community deserves a celebration!

In 2027, QCWA Alpha Branch proudly celebrates 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ years of serving our local community. A remarkable milestone honouring a century of friendship, service and support.

Bring your family and friends along to celebrate 100 years of QCWA Alpha Branch at the Centenary Community Cup Touch Football Carnival on Saturday, 6 March 2027, at the Alpha Showgrounds🏉

Tickets for our 2026 Daffodil Day Fundraiser are LIVE! 💛

Here’s the rundown:
🌼 Under 5s: Free
🌼 Children (5–12 years): $10
🌼 Adults 13+: $25

And don’t forget to grab your fresh daffodils when you book! 🌼

For $17 a bunch, you’ll receive 10 beautiful fresh daffodil stems to brighten your home, your workplace, or someone’s day. The best part? Every bunch helps support Cancer Council. If you’d like more than one bunch, simply add extra bunches when you’re booking your tickets.

We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, 22nd August at the Alpha Jockey Club. Whether you come for the homemade lunch, a catch-up with friends, or to support a cause close to your heart, we’d love to have you there.

The countdown is on for our QCWA Alpha Branch Daffodil Day Fundraiser, and we’d love to see you there!

If you’ve never been to one of our Daffodil Day events before, this is your sign to come along! And if you’ve joined us in previous years, you already know the incredible spread our QCWA ladies put on. Homemade country cooking, friendly faces, plenty of laughs and a wonderful community atmosphere – what’s not to love? 🍰☕💛

The reason we keep doing this year after year is simple. Cancer touches all of us. In Queensland, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 2 women are expected to be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. Whether it’s a family member, a mate, a neighbour or a workmate, chances are cancer has impacted you or someone close to you.
