These are before and after images of Victoria Park as you face the Britannia Roundabout. They show what it may look like after the MotoGP works are finished. The images are based on the original map released by the Government in February. We look forward to a genuine consultation process when the detailed track plans are released. BLOG: Sophie's story. Young People Love Park Lands Too!

"My name is Sophie and I am 16 years old. I live in Dulwich, right across the road from the Adelaide Park Lands. My yard isn’t very big, so the Park Lands act as one for my family and me. "

So begins Sophie's story, a reminder of what we fighting for.

PROTECT: March for your Park Lands - what to expect.

Sunday 23 August 2026
RALLY at 12noon in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga for the official proceedings.

MARCH along Wakefield Street to Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi (Park 16) which is about 1600m (1.6km).

COMMUNITY will host a community event near the Olive Grove on the corner of Wakefield Street and East Terrace.

Support will be available throughout, Marshals to help guide the march, First Aid Officers will be on hand, and of course there will be a police presence.

If you have lany difficulties, imited mobility or you are in a wheelchair, please ask for assistance as required.

Together, we will make a difference.

Disappointing to read the Government is accusing the Park Lands Association of talking down events. We do not support MotoGP because it is removing trees and damaging the environment. Simple.

Park lands advocates fearing the MotoGP construction start date will impact an Adelaide Fringe hub are being told to cool their jets.

History Council Urges Protection of Park Lands Heritage

“The History Council of South Australia is concerned about the acceleration of destructive forms of development that threaten the heritage value of the Adelaide Park Lands. It urges the State Government not to jeopardise further the city’s heritage assets and to protect the special status, attributes and character of the Adelaide Park Lands. It further reminds the State Government of its responsibility under the Adelaide Park Lands Act 2005 “to provide for the protection of those park lands and for their management as a world-class asset to be preserved as an urban park for the benefit of present and future generations.”

BLOG: MotoGP Deemed Too Dangerous for Street Circuits Since 1982

“MotoGP has not raced on a street circuit since 1982, and the reason for that was that riders kept dying.” As Adelaide plans to bring MotoGP back onto city streets, safety concerns could have profound consequences for the surrounding Park Lands.
