🎙️ One of the most anticipated presentations at – and now the focus of a new episode of Neuro-Oncology: The Podcast.

The landmark ROAM/EORTC 1308 trial addressed a long-standing clinical question in neuro-oncology: should patients with atypical meningioma receive radiotherapy after complete surgical resection, or can they be safely observed?

The results were presented during the EANO 2026 Opening Plenary in Rome and simultaneously published in The Lancet.

In this episode, Michael D. Jenkinson, recipient of this year's EANO Best Oral Presentation Award in Clinical Research, joins host Maximilian Mair to discuss the ROAM trial, its findings and what they mean for clinical practice.

🙌 Another successful chapter of the EANO School of Neuro-Oncology has come to an end. During in Rome, we were delighted to celebrate the participants of the 2024–2026 cohort and present them with their certificates. Over the past two years, the School has brought together the next generation of neuro-oncology professionals for interdisciplinary learning, scientific exchange and networking across Europe.

Congratulations to all our graduates on successfully completing the programme – and welcome to the growing community of EANO School Alumni!

🙌 Following a memorable in Rome, EANO marks an important moment for our association as we welcome Roberta Rudà as EANO President. At the same time, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Michael Platten, who steps into his new role as EANO Past President. Under his leadership, EANO has continued to grow and strengthen its international community.

🔎 Call for applications to host
The EANO Educational Committee invites you to submit a bid to host the EANO Seminars 2028 in locations that usually do not host EANO Meetings or EANO Seminars.

Please be aware that hosting the EANO Seminars will require major involvement and effort of the local host to support the Educational Committee with program development and the EANO Office with the event organization. Submit your application to the EANO Office at [email protected] by the deadline October 15, 2026, 23:59 CEST.

The EANO Educational Committee will review all applications and submit its recommendation to the Executive Board for final approval. All applicants will be notified of their application status by the end of December 2026.
