📣 The final week of is here – and the focus turns to nutrition as a cornerstone of digestive health prevention.

A new position paper by United European Gastroenterology (UEG), developed with contributions from several member societies including the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM), highlights how modern diets rich in ultra-processed foods are contributing to the growing burden of digestive diseases, including IBS, IBD, colorectal cancer and metabolic disorders.

The paper calls for stronger public health measures, from front-of-pack labelling to improved access to affordable, minimally processed foods. Digestive health starts long before disease develops!

Throughout May, ESNM highlights the importance of:
▫️ Early symptom recognition
▫️ Evidence-based nutrition
