Yesterday team Rise N Shine Trust had the pleasure of joining U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe in Victoria Falls together with her excellency the Ambassador of America in Zimbabwe Ambassador Tremont as the embassy celebrated 250 years of American freedom in the majestic vicinity of the Smoke That Thunders.
As social entrepreneurs and artist we are proud of the colloborations we have had with American organisations such as Sewpportive Friends run by the amazing Julie Phippen, the amazing The Pollination Project Foundation which helped us kickstart our work as social entrepreneurs, Global Sojourns Giving Circle that supported our girls and boys clubs for many years in the deep rural areas of Victoria Falls. We have hosted small cultural tours and many tourist from multiple states in America. Many of the people who have bought our artworks are also American.
We recognize American citizens like Amerissis Feliz, Shelby Booker and her mom, Maddy Bell, Katie Roed Bronstein , Paul Ventura , Suzanne Firth to name a few and the many many Americans who have supported us in all sorts of manner some who desire to remain faceless. To us this celebration is a recognition of your passion and love for what we do. We are grateful.
We celebrate the educational inputs of American institutions in our founders Ska Sebata as a Young African Leaders Initiative Network alumni, the ACEA program through the University of Georgia for Civic leaders in Practice in Africa done by Sefelepelo Sebata.
