Victoria Falls Wild Hub Volunteering Volunteer in Victoria Falls and support community development, wildlife conservation and lion rehabilitation.

The Zambezi and Victoria Falls National Parks, in Zimbabwe, are undoubtedly amongst the most scenic wildlife areas in Southern Africa. This project is a collaboration between Lion Encounter, ALERT, the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZPWMA) and Volunteer Encounter to protect these vital ecosystems while supporting the surrounding communities.

Amidst the greens and tees of Elephant Hills, we found an unexpected safari, warthogs waltzing, impalas in abundance, monkeys in mischief, birds in ballet, and a solitary waterbuck as our silent sentinel. A walk where the wild things are, captured in time. 🐗🦌🐒🦜📸

From fresh nests to full bellies, our animal family is thriving! This week, we’ve doubled the love in our vulture villa, scrubbed every nook for our vulture enclosure, and ensured Caesar, our majestic crowned eagle, and our common duiker have pristine spaces to call home. Our ostriches are strutting happier than ever because a clean home is a happy home for all our feathered and furry friends! And to top it off, our garden is now quenched, basking in the tender care of our watering waltz.

We're excited to announce that the Lesedi School has started its first field trips! After receiving approval from the Ministry of Education, we brought the students to our organization to meet some of our rescued and rehabilitated animals. 😁👏

The children were very excited, singing in the car and asking lots of questions. Interestingly, only two out of the twenty-five students had seen a lion before. We're proud to provide them with this special opportunity and look forward to showing you their photos!

During our final session for the year at Lesedi Photography Club, we went through all the photos taken at the homesteads. We also awarded 2 students with prizes for best portfolios. We couldn't be more proud of how far these students have come, and look forward to the upcoming new year!

Black Friday is coming!!!! DM for early access on discounts!!! 💪

We just had an incredible opportunity to watch and learn what it takes to
train specific dogs into becoming anti-poaching dogs with . From just 6 weeks
of age, these dogs get trained to track down poachers, and develop super
sniffing capabilities. They are trained on a daily basis, as training is key to
keeping up their skills. Once they reach a particular age, and training level,
they head off to their new handlers, and both the handler and dog, receive
a few months training before embarking on their missions.
