We are truly grateful for the incredible work, dedication, and positive impact you made during your three weeks with Reachout Trust in Victoria Falls. From empowering women and engaging young people through sport to inspiring children in schools, your contribution to our community will be remembered and appreciated.

This morning, Reachout Trust staff, women from our Sewing Project, and our international volunteers from Singapore and Malaysia took part in the National Clean-Up Campaign along the Victoria Falls–Bulawayo Road, from Mkhosana Turnoff to Truck Stop.

Together, we collected litter and engaged the community on the importance of environmental cleanliness by promoting proper waste management and discouraging illegal dumping. We also used the opportunity to raise awareness on key social issues, including drug and substance abuse and domestic violence, encouraging community members to play an active role in creating a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment.

Our international volunteers, Joel and Presca, recently had the opportunity to learn sewing skills at Reachout Trust Zimbabwe. Under the guidance of our sewing instructor, they successfully designed and made their own T-shirts, gaining practical experience in garment production and developing valuable new skills.

On 5 August 2026, Reachout Trust Zimbabwe donated a range of garden tools, including wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, mattocks, and garden forks, to Nekabandama Primary School in Hwange Rural District, Matabeleland North Province. The donation, made in partnership with Lush Limited, will support practical agricultural learning while promoting food security and strengthening the school's nutrition programme through sustainable food production.

The visit also provided an opportunity to engage learners through awareness sessions on the dangers of drug and substance abuse, the importance of staying in school to prevent school dropouts, and the need to end early child marriages. Through these educational discussions, Reachout Trust continues to empower young people with knowledge that encourages positive life choices.

Reachout Trust Zimbabwe remains committed to empowering communities and supporting education in line with Zimbabwe's Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
