Empowering the Next Generation: VISA Games 11th Edition Showcases Talent and Purpose in Gweru

The Vocational Institutions Sports Association (VISA) games successfully concluded its highly anticipated 11th edition at the Kaguvi Vocational Training Centre in Gweru, Midlands Province. This premier annual event brought together vibrant youth from Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) representing all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe for a week of high-octane athletic competition and community building.

Running under the powerful theme, “From Play to Purpose: Shaping Future Drug-Free Champions through Sport in Vocational Training,” the tournament went far beyond standard athletics. It served as a vital platform to engage youth positively, promoting healthy lifestyles and advocating strongly against substance abuse.

With 120 talented participants representing each province, the one-week sports gala featured a diverse lineup of both indoor and outdoor disciplines. Beyond the medals and trophies, the true highlights of the week were the exemplary displays of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and national unity demonstrated by the young athletes.
Distinguished Leadership and Support
The prestige of the tournament was elevated by the presence of high-profile government officials who came out to support the nation's vocational students. The Honorable Minister T. Machakaire (MP) graced the event as the Guest of Honour, delivering inspiring remarks to the youth.
