Another Successful Youth Empowerment Workshop! πŸŽ‰

This weekend, we successfully completed Part 2 of our Youth Skills Training Programme, and what an incredible experience it was.

The workshop was well attended, bringing together young participants who were eager to learn, create, and grow through hands-on training.

For this session, we placed a special focus on: 🧡 Dressmaking

Participants had the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in developing practical sewing skills, gaining confidence and improving their techniques step by step.

The level of focus, creativity, and dedication throughout the weekend was truly inspiring. It was powerful to see young people supporting each other while building skills that can open doors to future opportunities.

✨ A highlight of the weekend was seeing participants grow in confidence and take real pride in their progress.

This programme continues to demonstrate the impact of empowering youth through practical skills and community learning.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part.

A Proud Moment for Our Youth!

The second day of our Youth Empowerment Workshops marked a beautiful and successful conclusion to Part 1 of the programme.

The workshop was well attended, and participants showed incredible focus, creativity, and commitment as they completed their training.

From beadmaking and basketry to sewing, it was inspiring to see young people learning, growing, and supporting each other.

✨ The highlight of the day was the certificate presentation, where participants proudly received recognition for completing the workshop.

These certificates represent more than just participation β€” they symbolise skills gained, confidence built, and new opportunities ahead.

We are incredibly proud of every participant.

✨ New Year Message from TGSCCC ✨

As we step into a new year, we would like to take a moment to thank everyone who continues to stand with the TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre.

To our supporters, donors, volunteers, partners, and friends β€” from near and far β€” your trust, encouragement, and belief in our work remain the foundation of everything we do. We are deeply grateful for your continued support.

The past year was a significant one for TGSCCC as we marked 10 years of serving community, culture, and heritage. It was a milestone that invited both celebration and reflection. Alongside these achievements, we also faced challenges beyond our control β€” including circumstances such as severe weather that affected planned end-of-year activities. While not everything unfolded as hoped, these moments reminded us of the importance of resilience, adaptability, and collective strength.

What remains unchanged is our commitment. We continue to move forward with determination, learning from challenges and strengthening our foundations. The new year brings renewed energy, fresh perspective, and a continued focus on preserving culture, empowering communities, and creating meaningful opportunities.

As we begin this new chapter, we do so with gratitude, hope, and confidence in the journey ahead β€” together.

From all of us at the TG Silundika Cultural Community Centre, we wish you a peaceful, healthy, and successful New Year.

With sincere thanks,
Tina & Felix
