Today, we joined scores of dedicated nurses in the city of Bulawayo to commemorate International Nurses Day and celebrate the incredible work nurses continue to do in our communities.

We honour their compassion, resilience and commitment to saving lives every day. Nurses remain the backbone of the healthcare system, providing care, comfort and hope to patients and families across the country.

Thank you to all nurses for your selfless service and unwavering dedication.

At Sizolwethu Mobile Health, we are proud to support the Hope Fountain community through structured monthly clinic outreaches, serving 633 homesteads every month.

Each household has an average of about 5 people, meaning our outreach programme benefits more than 3,000 community members with access to essential healthcare services.

At our scheduled location, community members receive consultations, treatment and health education.

Yesterday at our St Peters clinic outreach, our dedicated nurses took time to educate villagers about hypertension, a silent condition that often goes unnoticed until it’s too late.

Through simple, practical guidance on healthy living, regular check-ups, and early detection, we are empowering our community to take control of their health.

Prevention starts with knowledge.

On Thursday, we visited Khame Village in Bulilima District, in Plumtree, to witness the rehabilitation of a community borehole as part of our partnership with Entrust Foundation.

Through this initiative, 20 community water technicians in Bulilima District are being trained while more boreholes are being restored to improve access to clean and safe water.

Thanks to the generous support of Entrust Foundation.

Today we are at St Peters Village on the outskirts of Bulawayo for a clinic outreach programme in partnership with the Bulawayo City Council.
