34Gallery.org Technology Advisor Lucid Jordan: "I created this piece to show both sides of being brazen. You have the first person, who inflicted pain, wrapped within a menacing and messy aura. The second person is in pain. The person is kneeling, away from the first person. The entire piece is dark and unsettling, possessing a sense of visceral beauty. I hope this artwork resonates with you. All of us have been on one side, the other, or both. It's difficult to learn our errors and faults because doing so delves into a part of the soul we hide from the world. How can we grow, if we don't learn?"

34Gallery.org Artist Mitochondralorian: "The fractured floor became a map of damage spreading outward from a single origin point, while the illuminated path toward the distant door gradually became whole. That contrast represents an experience many people know intimately: harm can happen quickly and in many directions, while healing is slower, narrower, and requires intention.

The cathedral setting was chosen as a space of gravity and reflection, where the viewer can feel both judgment and mercy existing at once.

'Brazen' is often associated with boldness or shamelessness, but I was interested in the harder form of courage that comes later: facing the of one’s actions honestly and still believing is possible."
