Environmental Facts on Monday | Sustainable Land Management Series
Land degradation is often visible through soil erosion, and one of the most noticeable forms is gully erosion.
Gullies are deep channels formed when runoff removes soil, often caused by poor land management practices such as damaged contours, overgrazing, poorly designed roads, and uncontrolled stormwater discharge.
Understanding the causes of gullies is the first step toward protecting our soils, safeguarding agricultural land, and maintaining healthy ecosystems.
we can promote Sustainable Land Management and protect Zimbabwe’s environment for future generations.
