As we end the 16 days of Activism, one of us had this to say, "The 16 days of activism called for unity and solidarity to end the shadowy octopus "gender based violence," which torments both victims and perpetrators of violence. There is need for protection of all victims of GBV, women, children, especially through reinforcing the law. The activism days should not only end with the 16 days but should be a collective effort to end the circle all year round."

We are currently attending the National Education Budget Allocation Budget Analysis meeting in Harare organised by ECOZI. The meeting unpacks the priority alloations of the Zimbabwe national budget and the key areas of focus for the 2 Education ministrial departments.
From the meeting we realise that between the population groups 4 - 24 years, nearly 40% of this age group did not attend school in 2024. It remains our key advocacy point, that young people need to have accessible and equitable access to Education.

Today we did our first physical event following a series of online programs. We conducted a session at Catholic University of Zimbabwe in Harare with 50 attendance highlighting the importance of voluntary work, leadership, solidarity and liberty.
It was a great moment as Karen Chikonzo and l were able to take over discussions, answer questions and share a glimpse of the future of this program.
The whole idea was to talk about the importance of voluntary work, how to volunteer, and where to volunteer.
This is a huge breaking point in getting into the activism space, establishing links and travelling abroad.

Huge thanks to Students for liberty

Today brings us to the close of the and the Rome Water Dialogue. Its been a great opportunity for our young leaders to meet with global leaders in the UN, private, financial and government sectors to influence policies and drive change towards better agro-food systems.
As Youth-Change, our commitment is to continue engaging young people and farmers so that they become key players in Ending Hunger and Eradicate Poverty.
We aim to do this through continuing participating in achieving the Global Action Plan we launched today through working with young people in Zimbabwe.
